Get started with D&D 5e in 3 simple steps!

Stat Rolling Methods
Three ways to generate your ability scores!
Option 1: Roll for Stats (Classic D&D)
Rolls 4d6, drops the lowest die, 6 times.
Option 2: Standard Array
Use the balanced array: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
Option 3: Point Buy
Build your stats with 27 points. All stats start at 8.

Starting a Session
The AI generates a unique scenario based on your character's class, race, level, and backstory.
Taking Actions
Just type normally after starting:
- Actions: "I kick down the door"
- Dialogue: "I ask the merchant about the missing shipment"
- Combat: "I cast fireball at the enemies"
- Exploration: "I examine the strange runes"
How the DM Responds
- Reads your action and determines response
- Calls for rolls when needed (dice buttons appear)
- Applies consequences - damage, healing, status effects
- Tracks the story - NPCs remember you, locations persist
- Uses D&D 5e rules - proper DCs, saves, combat rules

D&D 5e Mechanics
Death saves, exhaustion, inspiration, and more!
Death Saving Throws
- Roll 10+ = Success, under 10 = Failure
- Nat 1 = 2 failures
- Nat 20 = Regain 1 HP instantly!
- 3 successes = Stabilized
- 3 failures = Dead
Exhaustion Levels

Inspiration
Granted by the DM for great roleplay. Use it for advantage on any roll!
Rest & Recovery
Heal up and restore your resources!
Short Rest (1 hour)
Spend hit dice to heal. Each die = 1dX + CON modifier.
Long Rest (8 hours)
- Full HP restored
- All spell slots/mana restored
- Recover half your hit dice
- Reduce exhaustion by 1

What Gets Saved
- Your last actions and DM responses
- Current location and scene description
- Active NPCs and their dispositions
- Quest states (active, completed, failed)
- World events that have occurred
XP & Leveling
- Earn XP from combat, quests, and roleplay
- Level up automatically when XP threshold is met
- Each level increases: HP, proficiency bonus, and unlocks features

Tips for Best Experience
1. Be Descriptive
"I carefully search under the bed" works better than just "search"
2. Stay in Character
The DM responds to roleplay with better narrative
3. Use the Environment
Reference things the DM describes in your actions
4. Ask Questions
"Do I notice anything unusual?" triggers Perception checks
5. Collaborate
In multiplayer, coordinate with your party!
